In preparation for Halloween, I wanted to start working on a sign for the front door. You could use any phrase, I chose ‘Boo’. All you need is the three wooden letters, black paint, a brush, burlap ribbon, raffia, and a all purpose gloss. Paint each letter with at least two coats, allowing for dry time in between.

Once dry, spray the letters with a small coat of gloss. Use the raffia to tie the ‘B’ to the ‘O’, and then the ‘O’ to the additional ‘O’. Tie a piece of raffia to the top of the ‘B’. Use this raffia to tie the burlap bow onto. You can add a few pieces of raffia where needed. I used the raffia above the ‘B’ to have a loop to hang the sign from.
