Feathers for My Little Turkey

I wanted a belt of some kind to accompany the headband I made. I used some left over felt and a hand drawn pattern of a leaf. I took 5 different colors of felt and cut around the leaf that I made.

Materials: felt sheets, scrap paper, scissors, hot glue gun, straws, suede cord

Take you suede cord and cut three equal strands.

Knot one end and then braid the cord.

Try to make the other end as equal as the first when creating the knot.

Now its time to construct. Take your straws and hot glue one to each leaf so that it stands up straight.

The easiest method I found is to only glue the straw down do a certain point. That way to can slide the braided cord under the straw.

After you have the braid in place, glue the rest of the straw down.

For extra hold, hot glue each feather to the next. Here is your finished product!
